Kia ora and Greetings,
Thank you for visiting our website. Let me take a moment to introduce our college.
Grace Theological College (GTC) started classes in 1995. Classes were held in a vacant bedroom and the library fitted into the office. Over the years God has been faithful to our college. Today we have our own facility debt-free, two purpose built classrooms, a library of around 9,000 books, plus offices.
More importantly, we are a reformed and evangelical college based in Aotearoa-New Zealand.
Being reformed means is that we self-consciously adhere to the historic orthodox confessions of the church which exalt the sovereignty of God. We want to give church pastors, leaders, and members a solid biblical foundation that will withstand the changing currents and avoid the fads that sweep around us constantly.
Claiming to be evangelical means that we align with that movement of the church that believes in the necessity and power of the gospel of the crucified and risen Jesus Christ to save. We believe that the church is the only hope for a sinful world. We want to serve the church in training men and women to preach the gospel in all the world.
Finally, we are New Zealanders, or Kiwis, as we like to call ourselves (the bird, not the fruit!). We are embedded within our culture to help Kiwis reach other Kiwis with the gospel. This is not to say we don’t value what those outside New Zealand have to say (look at our video resources), but simply that we love our country and want to see more Kiwis worshipping God.
Although Semester One classes have already commenced, you are welcome to enroll in Semester Two. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
